The recipe for success in learning Italian

So, you’ve decided to embark on the exciting journey of learning Italian? That’s fantastic! While Italian isn’t considered a particularly difficult language, it does require dedication and effort, just like any other language.

One lesson a week is a great start, but it’s just one piece of the puzzle. At AL DENTE, we believe in a holistic approach to learning. We’re passionate about helping adult learners like you achieve their dreams of speaking Italian. That’s why we’ve put together these tips for effective and enjoyable learning, straight from our experienced instructor, Izabela Rynkowska.

1. Trust your teacher

Our instructors are professionals with a true passion for teaching. We know what works, so listen to our guidance! We’re here to support you every step of the way.

2. Be present

Missing a class means missing out on new material that can be tough to catch up on. It can also create anxiety about participating in future lessons. Make the most of each session!

3. Do your homework

Homework is essential for reinforcing what you’ve learned in class. Don’t leave it until the last minute! Spread it out over the week to maximize its effectiveness.

4. Check your register

We keep a record of assignments and upcoming tests. This is especially important if you’ve missed a class.

5. Stay in touch

Don’t hesitate to contact your teacher with questions or concerns. You’ll find their email in the register. We’re here to help!

6. Embrace mistakes

Mistakes are a natural part of learning. In fact, they’re essential! Correcting your mistakes helps solidify your understanding.

7. Be Independent

Class is your foundation, but there are tons of resources online to supplement your learning. Explore free exercises, videos, music, and apps. You’ll find plenty of inspiration on our website too!

8. Focus on your own progress

Don’t compare yourself to others. Your teacher is the best judge of your progress. Just because someone speaks a lot doesn’t mean they have a deeper understanding.

9. Stay connected

We’re here to support you outside the classroom. Check out our blog for tips, exercises, articles, webinars, and contests.

Learning Italian should be an enjoyable experience. With the right approach and the support of AL DENTE, you’ll be speaking Italian in no time!
